Missions

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."

Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus gave the Church

The Great Commission

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

 Matthew 28:18–20.

Foreign Missions

International missions have been portrayed over the course of time as being superior to domestic missions; however, international missions are not superior or more important than domestic missions. Both international missions and domestic missions are equally important. The Lord needs individuals to participate in both domestic missions and international missions. Jesus is clear that all Christians must spread the Gospel as stated in the Great Commission passage in Matthew 28:19-20, yet Jesus does not tell us directly where we are to go. The Lord tells us to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). We literally have contacts with hundreds of missionaries around the world. If you want to connect with someone in particular, let us know. If you want to get involved in missions contact us.

Local Missions

It is easy to believe that everyone in your own country has heard the Gospel because you live in a first-world country, but this is not true. Your own community, country, and neighbors need to hear the Gospel too. Sometimes we can make the greatest difference when we share the Gospel with our close friends and family because we have already built a strong relationship with them.

Evangelism Training

  • The Gospel has the power to make a dramatic impact in the lives of those around you. Is there anything more important than sharing the hope of Christ with as many as possible?  At its core, the Great Commission, evangelism, is sharing the good news of salvation, forgiveness, and grace. Without those things, we would all be lost without hope, without a savior, and would have to endure the consequences of sin—death.

  • The defining activity of a church is Bible-teaching and the primary goal of a church is to glorify God through holy evangelism. For when God took flesh in Jesus, he came as the holy evangelist, the divine cross-cultural missionary from heaven and wise church-planter building his house upon the rock of the gospel.
